Following the trajectory of his family as immigrants from WWII, Peter Liashkov revisited countries of his youth in order to reestablish the emotional connection of childhood memory to the present and bring it forth in a body of work to pay homage to my parents’ struggles. In the Evita series he touched upon the profound impact of Eva Peron on the people of Argentina during the 1950s. This work was initially produced at El Nopal Press during 1996 and subsequently at his studio in Los Angeles.
