PANDEMIKO

 

In response to the covid-19 pandemic, I began to work on small mixed media works on paper, layering print transfers, powdered pigments, photo collage, and other found materials to create a base for the imagery. Self portraits, police mug shots, anatomical details and brain scans adds complexity to the images. I gave this body of work to photographer Don Saban, who was inspired to maximize texture and color to create this body of work called Pandemiko.
